A special air travel carrying 391 Bangladeshis who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amidst travel constraints imposed as a result of Covid-19 pandemic, has landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal AIRPORT TERMINAL (HSIA).

The flight, arranged by Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Dubai, landed at the Dhaka Airport at 4:36am, on Saturday.

Biman Deputy General Manager Tahera Khondoker confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.

Almost all of the Bangladeshis have been staying in the united states without any jobs, despite the fact that they went there as workers. 

Some of them may have lost their jobs because of the lockdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic. A few of them have there been on tourist visas aswell.

Some of the personnel also said that they had a need to return to their families thanks to emergencies due to the coronavirus crisis.
