Anguilla has named a fresh director of tourism, the island’s tourist plank announced.

The destination has tapped tourism veteran Stacy Liburd to the role, in a maneuver that took effect Jan. 4.

“We have come up with a very strong Plank at the ATB,” said Anguilla Tourism Minister Haydn Hughes. “The Anguilla Tourist Table will end up being strengthened by this appointment that was created by me after careful consideration in consultation with my tourism partners and commensurate with the ATB Action. Liburd possesses the abilities to greatly help navigate the day-to-day businesses during these unprecedented instances and she's our confidence and support as we forge in advance.”

Liburd lately served as revenue and marketing supervisor for the Quintessence Resort in Anguilla. She’s also caused properties including Zemi Beach House, Tranquility Seashore and Santosha Estate, among others.

“I am honored that the Board has entrusted me with this great responsibility,” Liburd said.  “I am a separate believer in Anguilla’s remarkable tourism product and look forward to working closely with my co-workers at the Plank, the Ministries of Health and Tourism, and with our industry stakeholders to recapture our market show, rebuild and rebrand our vacation spot as the utmost desirable vacation knowledge in the Caribbean.”
