Bangladesh, Uzbekistan to form JWG for trade, investment

Bangladesh and Uzbekistan possess decided to form Joint Working Group (JWG) to improve bilateral trade and investment through removing different barriers.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi gave the info on Tuesday at a view exchange ending up in Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Sardor Umurzakov through a videoconference from the secretariat found in the town, reports BSS.

“Bangladesh is keen to improve trade and cooperation between your two countries. However, there are a few complications in trade. You'll be able to solve the complexities by forming a joint operating group comprising the authorities from both the countries,” he said.

Amongst others, Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman and Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi also joined the videoconference.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues to improve the trade and monetary relations between your two countries.

Based on the dialogue, they required decision to form a joint operating group to increase trade and economical relations between your two countries.
