Real estate giant The Agency involves CT with New Canaan office

Luxury real estate powerhouse The Firm has opened its primary Connecticut franchise at 2 South Ave. in New Canaan.
“The luxury industry in Connecticut is thriving and we’re thrilled to broaden our reach and referral network with our franchise in New Canaan,” said The Agency CEO and founder Mauricio Umansky, a familiar face to TV viewers of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Million Dollar Listing.”
The New Canaan office will be headed by partners Todd David Miller and Cliff Smith, both of whom have been brokers at the Higgins Group.
Miller, who before getting into property spent 15 years found in the public relations industry, has sold a lot more than $600 million in property. Smith had possessed a sports firm where he represented professional basketball players in the NBA and WNBA, as well as in Europe and Asia.
“Our fresh franchise in Connecticut is a testament to the power and excitement surrounding The Agency and its own unparalleled offerings to agents,” Jim Ramsay, executive vice president of franchise sales at The Agency, said in a statement.
Umansky said that New Canaan, which is the LA firm’s 17th franchise, will soon be joined by one found in Huntington, Long Island.
Since its inception in 2011, The Agency has closed a lot more than $9 billion worth of property transactions.
