As the consequences of Covid-19 pandemic continue steadily to have a toll on international travelling, US-Bangla Airlines on Tuesday operated a flight on its Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur route with only 1 single passenger.

β€œIt isn't unusual for airlines to cancel international flights because of lack of passengers. However, the US-Bangla Airlines authorities decided to operate the flight despite having only 1 passenger,” US-Bangla Airlines General Manager (Public Relations) Kamrul Islam told Dhaka Tribune.

The private airline company has been steadily resuming international flights after the government lifted the travel ban in June, and restarted flights on its Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur route from August 16.

Subsequently, passenger Rafsan Jami found the rare possibility to fly alone on commercial flight BS-313 to Kuala Lumpur.

Rafsan also thanked the US-Bangla Airlines authorities for the unique experience.

β€œI am going to Malaysia today. The most interesting thing is I am the only passenger on-board,” he told journalists.
