A seven-day Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) fair has begun in Tangail.
A festive rally for the occasion—beginning at Shaheed Smriti Paura Udyan at 11am on Monday, and ending at a discussion event held at the Paura Udyan—traversed many important streets in the town.
Presided over by Tangail Deputy Commissioner Shahidul Islam, the discussion was attended by Additional Police Superintendent (crime) Ahaduzzaman Mia, Tangail municipality Mayor Jamilur Rahman Miron, Manager of SME Foundation Syeda Sultana Yasmin, Assistant General Manager of BSCIC Shahnaj Begum, and others.
The events were managed by Tangail Senior Information Officer Kazi Golam Ahad.
After the rally ended, the guests inaugurated the fair and visited the stalls.
There are 55 stalls at the fair, and the event will be held from 10am to 11pm until March 10. Different cultural activities have also been arranged to entertain visitors.
